Blush and Gold Interior Mood Board

Hi everyone!

It feels like absolutely ages since I have sat down to write a blog post! I went back home to Ireland for a couple of weeks, and then I had my sister here in Abu Dhabi with me for a week after that.  After a lovely break, I am happy to be back again with a new blog post :).

This week’s blog post is another one of my favourites – an interior mood board.

I know it hasn’t been long since I’ve written an interior style blog post, but as I explained before, they are one of my favourite posts to prepare and there are so many gorgeous things in the shops right now!

Oliver Bonas Seagrass Storage Basket

I am such a fan of storage baskets and boxes, or pretty much anything that that relates to home organisation.  You might remember the gold basket which I featured in a previous H&M Home haul  that I use to store small blankets in.  I would use this Oliver Bonas Seagrass Storage basket in exactly the same way.  I absolutely love the geometric design of this gorgeous woven basket, and because of its neutral colour, it would go with almost any type of interior.  I also love how you can fold down the handles on this basket to turn it into a smaller, more chic version.  It’s like having two baskets in one and I think this is so practical for storage.  Like I said, this basket would be perfect for storing pretty blankets or would even look gorgeous storing towels in your bathroom.

Oliver Bonas Round Marble Brush Holder

I think this Oliver Bonas marble brush holder is so gorgeous.  If you are like me, you will own far too many makeup brushes, but really only repeatedly use four or five of your favourite ones.  I think this brush holder would be so perfect for storing your favourite reliable brushes, not to mention it looks very pretty itself.  Also, long gone are the days of your standard boring black handled makeup brushes, and brands like Real Techniques and Zoeeva are making them look far more attractive these days with metallic handles and pretty patterns.  At least when you use this marble storage pot you can still fully see all of your nice brushes :).  This would look so nice on top of any dressing table.

 Anthropologie Ashbourne Nightstand

I appear to have developed quite the obsession with bedside tables. Given that I am not in the market to buy new ones myself (as my Ikea ones are doing just fine and I cannot justify changing them), I thought I might as well include my current favourite in this mood board to temporarily satisfy my want for it lol.  Anthropologie are absolutely smashing it with their bedside tables at the minute, but this Ashbourne Nightstand has to be my favourite from their current collection.  I adore the colours in it and love the gold hardware and the subtle leaf print.  I am obsessed with its kind of retro look, but it is so chic and elegant at the same time.  The legs are also removable, but why would anyone want to take these off, they are ridiculously cute!

Anthropologie Hammered Mattie Vase

I am such a big fan of nice vases.  As much as a bunch of fresh flowers looks nice, I just think you can’t beat a bunch of flowers in a vase that is also beautiful, and that’s exactly what this brass Hammered Mattie Vase from Anthropologie is.  I love the unsymmetrical design of this vase and I am really into hammered metals at the minute.  This vase would look just perfect with a fresh bunch of blooms or even with some autumnal dried leaves and twigs for this time of year.

Society 6 Delicate Monstera Green Print

I love to use prints to brighten up a room and I think this simple monstera print form Society 6 would look good in any room.  I have a monestra plant in my bedroom which I absolutely love but it’s leaves definitely do not look as good as the ones in this print! Lol.

Etsy Gold Foil Inspirational Quote Print

I mentioned before on my blog that I also love a nice inspirational quote. This gold foil inspirational quote print from Etsy which says ‘Kindness is Magic’ is so adorable.  Like the leaf print, it is simple and elegant, and would look great in any room.  I love gold foil prints –  they look expensive and classy but Etsy have some great ones which are very reasonably priced.

Kate Spade Everdon Lane Gold Pin Dot Bud Vase

So I have been really boring and included a second vase in this mood board, but I just couldn’t resist when I saw this Gold Pin Dot Bud Vase from Kate Spade.  I love the simple gold dotty design on this vase.  It is so, so cute and I think it would look best with just a few single stems in it.

Kate Spade – Fig Scented Candle – 295g

I mentioned Kate Spade candles in a previous mood board blog post.  At that time I had just bought this gold and white spotty one which was on sale in Bloomingdales.  The design of this candle goes perfectly with the items in this mood board and it would look so pretty on top of the Ashbourne Nightstand.  However, I must say that this candle doesn’t burn as well as I had hoped.  Once it is lit there really isn’t much of a scent from it.  It’s a good job that it looks so pretty :)!

Life Interiors Chloe Ottoman (Grey Velvet)

It’s no secret that I am a fan of velvet furniture at the minute (and I know I am not alone).  To say I am OBSESSED with this Chloe Ottoman by Life Interiors is a major understatement! I love everything about it; the shape, the colour and the brass legs.  I think this looks really chic and elegant and would look so pretty as a dressing table stool or simply just sitting in the corner of any room – perhaps next to a full length mirror.

Kate Spade Garden Drive Square Jewellery Box

Shock horror, another Kate Spade item (embarrassed face, but I am just loving everything she is doing right now).  Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a jewellery addict and I love keeping my things organised.  In fact, one of my first blog posts was all about my jewellery organisation and storage (you can read that here if you want to 🙂).  In that blog post I talk about how I like to use the Muji acrylic storage because it is easy to see everything laid out, but it is also nice to have the odd little trinket box that looks pretty on my dressing table or bedside locker.  This mini Kate Spade jewellery box would be just perfect for that.  I love the dusky pink colour and the gold bow and it would be ideal for storing your favourite bits and bobs :).
