I feel as though it has been ages since I have written a beauty related blog post. It’s good to be back at it again :).
The weather has been absolutely chaotic here in Abu Dhabi for the last couple of months and it can’t decide if it wants to rain, sandstorm or split the trees with sunshine which is so unusual for this time of year here. Every day is different, and I don’t know if I should blame the weather or being pregnant but my poor hands are constantly dry and I’m finding myself going through hand cream like nobody’s business. I use hand cream religiously every night before bed and I’ve tried my fair share of different ones at this stage. However there are two in particular that I find myself going back to time after time so I thought I would share the details on one of those today for any fellow dry hand sufferers like myself.
Lollia, At Last Shea Butter Hand Cream
The hand cream that I want to talk about is the Lollia Shea Butter hand cream. These hand creams come in a number of different scents but the one that I have is number 17, which is called ‘At Last’.
Firstly, the cream has the most unusual scent and it really is a love it or hate it scent. I personally love how it smells – I’ve never really smelt anything quite like it. The fragrance notes are white petals and rice flower, and whilst it has a very gentle and fresh scent, it is also quite overpowering at the same time if that makes sense. The scent has such long lasting power. If I put this on my hands before bed I will always still be able to smell it the next morning. If you are the kind of person that will get a headache easily from an overpowering scent then this really won’t be the hand cream for you unfortunately. If you are a fan of a more mature, powdery, clean scent however then I’m sure that you will love this like I do.
The key ingredients in the hand cream include:
- Macadamia Seed Oil
- Avocado Oil
- Shea Butter
- Cocoa Butter
- Honey
- Lavender
- Aloe Leaf Juice
The consistency of the cream is quite thick (I think all shea butter products are like that), but I really love a thick hand cream as it feels more luxurious and like it won’t just disappear as soon as I apply it. Despite being thick it is still really easy to rub into my hands and doesn’t leave a slick residue that makes me feel like I want to wash my hands immediately lol. Like I said earlier, when I use this hand cream I can still smell it on my hands hours later which is a nice reminder that the product is still there and working after some time. This cream does a really good job of making my hands feel moisturised again. When I use it overnight my hands feel especially soft and nourished the next morning and the cream doesn’t just disappear overnight.
Last but certainly not least I wanted to talk about the packaging of this hand cream. Everyone knows that I am a sucker for nice packaging, so a great product inside pretty packaging is a match made in heaven as far as I’m concerned, and the Lollia At Last hand cream ticks all of the boxes for me. The packaging is absolutely beautiful! The product itself comes in a tube with a very pretty and girly yellow and white design. Then the tube is placed in a gorgeous yellow box that has a sleeve of white lace petals and gold foil detailing. I think it looks so classy and luxurious. I love it!
The Lollia hand cream is a gorgeous product overall. From the ingredients to the scent and the packaging I absolutely love everything about it.
I’ve mentioned in a previous blog post here (where I talk about my bedside locker details) that I think the Lollia products are really underrated and totally deserve some more attention. On top of hand creams, fragrances and body products, the brand also have a home fragrance line with gorgeous candles, hand soaps and much more. Everything on their website looks so so gorgeous.
That’s it for this week’s blog post and the hand cream that I am currently loving. I have another blog post coming soon about the Jo Malone Geranium and Walnut hand cream, which is another favourite of mine.
Let me know if you have a favorite hand cream at the minute or how you keep your hands from feeling dry. I would love to hear 🙂
Have a great weekend everyone!
